PROJAN Foundation supported the “Young Praga in Auction” event 

  • The PROJAN Foundation supported the Mierz Wysoko Association, which has organised an auction of works by children attending the Youth Club on Brzeska Street. The “Young Praga in Auction” event took place on November 29, 2009 at the “Obiekt Znaleziony” club-café in the basement of the Zachęta art gallery in Warsaw. 

    Apart from participating in the auction, during the meeting the guests were also able to enjoy:

    • a performance by children from Brzeska Street,
    • a performance by stars from the “Poland’s Got Talent” television show: Kamil Dziliński – Dzielny with a juggling show and Piotr Boruta accompanied by Czocher.

    • The total of PLN 2,000 collected during the auction will be used to finance current needs connected with further activities of the club.

    The Mierz Wysoko Association consists of graduates of social and psychological studies, and students of the same faculties.  Making the most of their several years of experience in conducting training courses for young people, within the association they primarily organise workshops, seminars and street auctions as well as such creative initiatives as juggling, photography and theatre.

    The Youth Club on 20 Brzeska Street is a continuation of the Association’s previous project – the Social Street Circus. It was decided, together with the children, to create a place where they would be able to develop their skills, pursue their interests and spend their free time creatively in a safe atmosphere.

    The Club on Brzeska Street is a place where 35 children from the Praga Północ district take part in interesting artistic, educational and sports activities, free of charge. The program of activities is developed together with the children from Brzeska Street – and hence it fulfils their needs, expectations and dreams.
